How to hide apps on Oppo phone using the pre-installed feature

How to hide apps on Oppo

Step 1. Go to the settings.

Step 2. Select “Fingerprint, face & password” after that you will get some options like App Lock, Private Space, Kid Space, select “App lock”

Step 3. Select apps which you want to hide from the home screen.

Step 4. Enable “Password verifications” When password verification is enabled, home screen icons can be hidden for protection.

Step 5. Enable “Hide Home Screen Icons” When Hidden, you can view the apps by entering the access number on the dial pad. This does not require verifying the lock password.

You need to enable the Hide home screen icon so that applications can disappear from the home screen after that phone will ask you to set an access passcode. This code will allow you to appear hidden apps, it will be asked you for the first time when you set up the hide feature.

Step 6. You have to tap on “Set Access Number” then enter a passcode that should be starting from # and contains one to sixteen characters. for e.g. #1234#

Step 7. Once you have done the number process, tap “Done” and the application will disappear from the screen.

Note: Before applying these steps, you must have ColourOS 5.0 or above otherwise these options will not help you to hide apps.

To upgrade ColourOS: go to “Settings” and select “About Phone” and upgrade the ColourOS version if your handset is not up to date, then go to the software update section and check the available OS updates and upgrade them to the new version.

After updating the phone, the hide app feature will add to your setting menu.
